Get a large bucket. We bought a large tin bucket (old fashion wash tub). We told the children that the following Sunday was “Penny Offering Sunday.” We made a sign and taped it to the bucket. Penny Offering Sunday We want your pennies! Help Support Kid’s Church! The kids were to bring their pennies (with parents permission to empty their piggy banks) and dump them in the tin bucket. The child who brought in the most pennies would win a prize (this prize is whatever you want it to be).The children brought in $150.00. The congregation was so amazed by this that they wanted the bucket to be put out in the entry way of the church so that the adults could do it too.
