The Empty Tomb Craft
Pass This Along!
A yummy treat for kids to make with their parents!
Materials needed:
PLAIN Canned biscuits (not the flaky or butter kind)
Dough roller
Wax paper
large marshmallows
Confectioner’s sugar
Sifter
toaster oven preheated according to biscuits directionsDirections
Roll biscuits out flat on the wax paper.(This will be the tomb) Set marshmallow (the marshmallow is Jesus) in center of biscuit then wrap biscuit around marshmallow pinching the edges to seal it (may have to dampen edges to get them to stick)(This represents the stone being rolled in front of the tomb)
Put biscuits in the toaster oven (or regular oven if you’re doing this at home) While biscuits are cooking use the following bible story found in Luke 24:1-12. When the biscuits are done, let them cool then sprinkle them with confectioner’s sugar. When the children bite into the biscuits they will find the marshmallows are gone, liken this to the bible story ending… Jesus was gone from the tomb as he’d promised, when his friends arrived.

I have been using the Empty Tomb cookies for a long time! I first found them in the 70′s. I now make them with bread dough, but originally, they were on the crescent rolls can. I’m glad you are sharing this idea!
