Palm Trees Craft Idea for Palm Sunday

Make palm trees for Palm Sunday.
Supplies:
Newspapers
Masking Tape
Clear Tape
Scissors
Directions:
Tape 2 double pages of newspaper together width-wise. Roll paper tightly width-wise forming a long narrow tube. Use scotch tape to seal seam once paper is rolled. Using scissors cut strips approximately half way down the tube do this 4 times so you have 4 strips with enough tube left on the bottom to be able to hold the ‘tree’. With forefinger and thumb gently pull the center of the tube up. This will cause the other strips to fall away making the tube look like ‘Palm Trees’. Tell the story of the Triumphant Entry as children work on this project. Mark 11:1-10
