Empty Tomb Rolls

To make the Empty Tomb Rolls, you will need Bridgford Frozen Rolls, large marshmallows, melted butter, and cinnamon-sugar. Give each child a roll and have them flatten it. Then have them dip the marshmallow into the melted butter. (We skewer them with a toothpick to keep hands a bit cleaner.) Then dip into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Carefully wrap the roll around the marshmallow, sealing well. Place in a muffin tin. Sometimes we brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle a little more of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Talk to the kids about how Jesus was laid in the grave just like we put the marshmallow in the center of the roll. And when you break open the roll, it is empty just like the tomb on Easter morning. Enjoy a lovely snack. Do use some caution when opening as there will be a lovely, sugary, sticky middle in the roll. Every kid that I have used this with has loved it. And I have used it from two years all the way to older elementary. Sometimes I will ask the older kids what they think will be in the middle after we bake them. You can get some very interesting answers.
