This skit is designed to show the difference God can make in a persons life. 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” by Pastor Paul Anglemyer

2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

    Paul’s conversion and transformation: Acts 8:1-2; 9:1-6, 26-27

    Characters:
    Robbie
    Mom
    Teacher
    Girl
    Friend

Scene 1 – Born To Be Wild

The skit begins with some loud music blaring. Robbie is on stage playing his guitar. Mom walks into the scene. Robbie does not acknowledge her presence but continues to wildly play his guitar.

    Mom :
Robbie, Robbie did you take out the trash like I told you to do….Robbie? (mom leaves the scene in obvious frustration)

    Scene 2 – Disrespect

Robbie is sitting in his desk at school looking disinterested and board as the teacher teaches. Robbie crumples up a sheet of paper and throws it at the teacher, hitting her in the back of the head.

    Teacher:
Robbie, I have had enough of your attitude and disrespect! You’re going to the Principal’s office! (Robbie and Teacher leave the stage)

Scene 3 – In The Hall at school

Robbie is walking down the hall. A girl carrying a pile of books is walking down the opposite end of the hall (walking toward Robbie). As their paths cross Robbie knocks down the girl’s pile of books. Robbie continues walking off stage as the girl scrambles to pick up her books.

    Scene 4 – The Transformation

Robbie and a friend are walking together talking. They stop in center stage.

    Friend:
Robbie we’ve been friends since Kindergarten. In fact, you’re my best friend. I’ve been going to church and …well, I want to share something with you.

(The friend pulls a Bible out of his backpack and begins to share with Robbie. Soft Music begins playing in the background as the friend points to the scripture, points up toward heaven and then places his hand on his heart. The friend repeats these motions but instead of putting his hand on his heart he points to Robbie, Robbie nods his head yes. The friend closes the Bible and both of them get down on one knee and pray. When they are done praying Robbie removes his sunglasses and they both stand up and embrace. Together they walk of the stage.

    Scene 5 -A Difference

Robbie is sitting in a chare reading the Bible – Worship music is playing. Mom walks onto the scene carrying a bag of groceries

    Mom:
Wow! Who cleaned the house…it looks great.

    Robbie:
I did…Do you need some help carrying the groceries

    Mom:
I don’t know what’s gotten into you…but I like it. Yes, I could use some help. (Mom and Robbie walk off stage)
    Scene 6 – A Change

Robbie is sitting at his desk. The teacher walks onto the stage holding a paper.

    Teacher:
Robbie you have really changed…you got an “A” on your test. I am very proud of you.

Scene 7 – Sharing The Truth

Robbie is walking down the hall. The same girl is carrying a pile of books and walking down the opposite end of the hall (walking toward Robbie). As their paths cross, the girl quickly moves her books to the other side of her body out of reach. Robbie stops and apologizes to her.

    Robbie:

Hey, I’m sorry for being a jerk to you…could I share something with you that changed my life? (Robbie pulls a Bible out of his backpack and opens it.) Robbie and the girl walk off stage as he shares the Bible with her.
