1) Make a “boulder”: Fill ziploc bags (at least 1 per child) with goodies. Place the goody bags inside a plastic grocery bag, then place the plastic bag inside a paper grocery bag. Place that bag inside another paper grocery bag. Fold the top over and form the bag into a boulder shape. Tape all around the bag with masking tape, all the while continuing to form it into a boulder shape. Color the whole thing brown, if desired.
2)Play a game of basketball (or bowling, or any other game you’d like) with the boulder without telling the children what’s inside. When the game’s over, let the winner tear open the boulder and share the contents with the rest of the children. This goes well with the Easter story! by Angela Simmons
