Want to Tell Somebody?
This particular counseling principle has been helpful to me counseling children who has made a decision for Christ. For whatever the reason sometimes the child feels that he/she needs to “accept Christ again” even after having made a decision previously. There are various reasons for the child returning; such as sin, assurance of salvation, needing atttention, etc. Remind the child when he/she feels that they need to accept Christ again that Jesus died “once”; therefore, you only need to accept Christ once and that one time is enough. I have found that once you explain this to the child they leave with the assurance that Jesus is with them and that He will never leave. by Duane M. Lawrence
