Children’s Ministry Inspiration Vault

Our VBS program goes from Monday to Friday, but we have a special practice on Saturday for our Sunday program. The kids don’t mind coming out on Saturday to practice because we always wind the practice up with a water slide. Our church is at the top of an incline. We set up greenhouse plastic to go down the hill. We use baby shampoo and a sprinkler to keep the plastic slippery and wet. The kids (and adults) love it. It is a great advertisement tool because the slide is at the front of the church facing the highway. We have a retention pond at the bottom of the hill and that is where the slide ends so we have plenty of clearance between the end of the slide and right-of-way for the road. by Sharon Ray
