This fun event was designed to generate children’s interest in ministering to foreign countries. Children were encouraged to dress in costumes representing any country. When they arrived at the event they were able to “travel” to countries set up in our all-purpose building. At each country they were able to sample food from the country, learn about that country’s culture, do a craft, and see various items and artifacts from the countries. Adults served as the country hosts and they dressed in costumes from the respective countries as well. We played music and had games from other countries. One other activity that we did during the night — we set up a station where kids could pack shoe boxes with Christmas gifts to be sent to foreign countries via Samaritan’s Purse. It was a great night. We did this as a Halloween Alternative, but it could be done anytime!
