Connecting Generations
I am the preschool director of a medium sized church in NC. We have a large group of children (ages birth-teens) attending. Each age group is active among themselves, but they hardly ever do things together. For our children’s Easter party this year, we are hosting the whole group, but in differing capacities. I have asked that the youth monitor and participate in the games with the younger children, I have also put them in charge of the hiding and hunting of eggs. The classroom teachers are responsible for refreshments and are encouraged to attend. Our goal is to get ALL involved and not just the dept. heads. Many of our youth do not know our infants, toddlers, or preschoolers. We feel this is a way to connect the groups.
