LESSON 6:Moses is the Leader
NOTE: FOR SNACK TODAY, GIVE THE CHILDREN GRAHAM CRACKERS AND ICING. LET THEM PRETEND TO BUILD WITH THE CRACKER BRICKS AND ICING MORTAR AND THEN EAT THEIR CREATIONS!
Game: Follow the Leader
Play follow the leader. The teacher should be the first leader, then the children may take turns being the leader.Tell the children that today’s story is about two leaders~ one is a bad king, and one is a good man of God.
Lesson: Moses is the Leader
Materials:
o A copy of the Bible story
o Magnetic pictures and Metal board
Read the story and place the pictures on the board at the right times.
When you are finished with the story, let the children take turns retelling the story and placing the pictures on the board.
Craft: King’s Crowns
Materials:
o Precut Crowns, 1 per child
o Stickers
o Markers
o Stapler & Staples or Tape
Let the children decorate the crowns with stickers, markers, etc. Staple the crowns where needed to fit each child’s head as they finish.
Activity: Act It Out
Let the children play with blocks as they pretend to be the slaves in the story. Let some children pretend to be the king and wear their crown as they order the slaves around. Let some children pretend to be Moses, the good leader, and free the slaves.
