Repenting of Unkindness

Ask the children if they have ever done something mean. If none respond, give them a few examples, such as not sharing, hitting someone, telling someone they hate them, etc. Ask the children to tell you why they act mean. Explain that sometimes we are mean because of losing our tempers or being selfish or not liking someone or we want something that isn’t ours. Remind the children that losing their tempers, being selfish, not liking someone or wanting something that is not theirs are all sins that keep us from being kind like Jesus wants us to be. Lead the children in prayers of forgiveness for each of these sins that keep them from being kind.
