Ask the children if they knew that God knew who they were before they were even born? Read about it together from Psalm 139:16. "Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Impress upon the children that this verse tells them that God saw their bodies before they were even growing in their mother’s stomachs. In fact, it says that God already knew about every day of their whole lives before they were ever born. He planned them. Suggest to the children that God can help them grow and learn since He knew them before they were born and has already planned out every day of their lives. Communicate to the children that since God planned their lives before they were born, it is important to take time everyday just to listen to God to hear about His plan. Allow the children a few moments to sit quietly and listen to God. End by encouraging the children to take some time each day just to listen to God.
