SUPPLIES: sandwich bread, meat, lettuce, mayonnaise, mustard
Tell the children that you are going to make a sandwich. Pull out the bread and lay it on the table. While spreading the mayonnaise on the bread, tell the children that a sandwich is made up with many different ingredients, much like their lives. While spreading the mustard on the bread, ask the children to tell you something they should have in their life. While putting the lettuce on the bread, review that the children should have God in their life. They should also have godly attitudes and behavior in their lives. Put the bread together and ask the children if the sandwich is complete. It is not complete without the meat. Open the sandwich and put the meat on it. Tell them that their life is not complete if they do not have honesty. The children must be honest. God desires honesty in their lives. Honesty is like the meat. It is a very important part of their lives that must be there to make it complete. The next time the children think about telling a lie, they must remember that God wants them to be honest. The next time the children think about stealing or cheating, they must remember that God wants them to be honest.
