Presentation
Here’s a list of gifts. Imagine that you have a very wealthy uncle who could give you any of these gifts. On the list he made of things to choose from, he wrote: a pair of socks, a bike, a swimming pool, and a vacation to Disney World. Which one would you like for him to give you? Remember, he is so wealthy that he can give you any of these. Well, when Christmas comes, you get a small package. You already know it’s not the bike. It’s probably not the swimming pool either. So that means it is either the socks or the vacation package to Disney. You open it quickly to find….a pair of socks. Why? You want to know why your uncle would only give you socks when he could have afforded to give you all of the gifts on the list. Well, we will probably never know why he did that, but we do know something else. God can afford to give us anything. What did He choose to give us? He gave us the most valuable gift He could. He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ. Let’s pray and thank Him for giving us the best.
