Christian Refrigerators

Text (Isaiah 12:5) Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. (New International Version)

Thought Starters
Do you have a place at home for messages? Like a bulletin board?

I have been in a lot of houses where the refrigerator is the message board. Thee are so many neat magnets to hold school papers and drawings. Do you keep things on your fridge?

At our house we have pictures, do you? We have coupons, do you? How about grade cards? How about Doctor or dental appointment reminders? There are calendars, forms for school, baseball and hockey schedules that are magnetic.

The refrigerator is a family information-gathering place. When you visit someone’s house you can tell a lot about the family by what’s on their fridge.

How would someone who walks into your kitchen know that you are a Christian? Is there something on your fridge that would tell someone that you are a follower of Jesus? What could you put on the refrigerator? Maybe Bible verses, the golden rule spelled out, a cross. a picture of your church, your Worship Center class? Maybe you have a copy of the church’s newsletter or bulletin with the church’s weekly schedule. We have two magnets just like this it forms a cross.

Check it out when you walk into your kitchen when you get home? What message is your refrigerator sending to your friends? Is it a sign to them that your house is a Christian home?
