Text (Psalm 17:6) I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. (New International Version)

    Thought starters
The most popular king in the Old Testament was King David. Just like King Solomon, when King David spoke people listened.

King David said in Psalm 17 "I call on you. O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer." When someone is as young as you it might be better to say, "Please pass the ketchup."

Please pass the Ketchup. Do you like ketchup? What do you put it on? Does your mom put it on the table?

The next time you have a ketchup bottle on the table let it serve as a reminder to "Catch up" with your family. Ask them how they are doing? How was their day?

It is also important to use it to remember to "catch up" with God. Take time to share a prayer, either by yourself or with your entire family.

So when you open your hand and say, "Please pass the Ketchup!" Fold your hand first and spend time "catching up" with God. God has been there waiting patiently for you.

Please pass the Ketchup! Let’s pray.

Prayer-Dear God, Thank you for reminders of praying to you, before we go to bed, when we are scared or alone, or right before we eat. Amen

Hymn-"Happy The Home When God Is There" ¾ Henry Ware Jr.

Prop-I brought a bottle of Ketchup, hidden inside my suit pocket.
