When you pray, who do you pray for? Yourself, your brothers and sisters, grandparents, people who are sick. Do you pray for the people who are hungry? How about the homeless and people who are struggling. Do you pray for the people in power?

John tells us about a prayer Jesus prayed before he was arrested. He started his prayer by praying for himself. Then he continued his prayer by praying for his disciples, for God to protect them after Jesus is gone.

He finished his prayer by praying for each of you. He said, "I pray also for those who will believe in me through their (disciples) message." "Father, I want those (Point to the children) you have given me to be with me where I am."

Wow, how special for you. To have Jesus pray for you, he wants you to be with him.

As your summer break begins it’s important to remember that Jesus felt so strongly about you that he prayed for you. He wants you to be with him. He is always with you. Even when you are busy in the summertime.

Continue to pray to him, I’m pretty sure he hasn’t stopped praying for you. Let’s pray.
