Summer is wrapping up and it goes by so quickly we have to wonder if we did anything. Did you do anything special this summer? Did you go somewhere with your family?

Was it for a week or was it for a day?

I was thinking going to church is kind of a family outing. You have mom and dad, maybe a brother or a sister. Not the dog though. It is good to have your family in church.
Moses of the Old Testament had a special helper his name was Joshua. When Moses died God chose Joshua to lead the Children of Israel. Joshua was a great leader, when all the heads of the tribes of Israel were assembled Joshua said, “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

What does household mean? Family…as for me and my family we will serve the Lord.

By being here, your parents have made the same commitment for you and your family. It’s a family outing.
