How are you doing? Are you having a good summer? Do you sleep in during the summer? Do you miss breakfast sometimes? What if you sleep in until noon, do you go right to lunch? Does it hurt you to miss a meal, or do you eat more for lunch?I have a loaf of bread here. Did anyone here miss breakfast? Do you sometimes have toasted bread with your breakfast? Probably you eat bread with your lunch. John reports to us that Jesus said, "Don’t waste your energy striving for the perishable food like that. Work for the food that sticks with you, food that nourishes your lasting life, food the Son of Man provides."What is the food that Jesus is talking about "that sticks with you?"When we take our Bible and use it like our daily bread. Just like eating from the five food groups including bread gives us our daily nourishment. We always need to remember the food that nourishes your lasting life, this (Bible) Bread of Life.We are reminded of this every time we pray The Lord’s Prayer, ‘Give us this day our Daily Bread."
