Text (John 15:12) "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." (New International Version)

    Thought starters
It seems to me that every time we turn around someone in church reminds us to love one another.

One week it’s the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

The next time it’s "Treat others the way you want to be treated." Then it’s "Love your neighbor as yourself."

This word ‘Love" seems to be mentioned more than just on Valentine’s Day.

John reports to us that Jesus said "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you"

If Jesus gave this as a command it must be important don’t you think?

"Love one another". His words have echoed for two thousand years. I wonder why we hear it so often?

We forget don’t we? We need to be reminded, not just in church but daily. Have you seen the cellular phone commercial where a person taking a few steps saying, "Can you hear me now?"

I can picture Jesus in heaven looking down at us every minute saying, "Can you hear me now?"

"Love each other as I have loved you". "Can you hear me now?"(pause)

It explains to us why we remember our loved ones who have died, during this special Holiday weekend.

    Hymn-"Jesus Loves Me" – Anna B. Warner

Prayer-Lord, thanks for your great commandment, and for constantly reminding us to love one another. Amen
