Do you watch TV?
Are there scenes in some shows when you want to turn your head away and not watch for a second or two?I turn my head away during the show “Fear Factor.” I have the same fears that some contestants on the show have… afraid of heights, eating things that are gross, grabbing eels. (The kids love this part, they will name a few extra things they’ve seen)The show finds out what your fears are and then makes you confront your fears.
Jesus had to go through a Fear Factor between his triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and the crucifixion the following Friday. (Read part of the scripture…”He prayed for a way out”)
Why did Jesus “pass” the fear factor of death on the cross? Because he loves his world, because he loves You!If you were alive when Jesus was on trial, would you stick up for him, or would you be one of the many that turned your head away because you couldn’t watch?
