Scriptures: James 3, Proverbs 18:21, Proverbs 15:281. One of the hardest things to control in all of life is not a horse, or a boat, or a fire; it’s the tongue. (draw tongue)
2. The Bible shows us that we need to be careful with the words that we speak. They can get “out of control” like a fire and do much harm.
3. With our words we may bless and encourage others, or we may curse and discourage them. (turn the picture)
4. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, “The tongue has the power of life and death…” (complete drawing). Let’s speak words that bring hope, not words that would tear down, and destroy, and hurt. Speak words that bring life, not death!
