Children’s Ministry Christmas Drama

Thought about how I could do something different that the adults could minister to the children and then also involve the children. I feel like the Lord is leading me in the following:

(Stage is dark and the narrator reads the following)
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. And everyone went to their own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Single Day Youth Camp

Our church was looking for an idea for our church picnic that would make it a special day for everyone involved, kids and adults alike. Someone came up with the idea of having an obstacle course as one of our activities. One thing led to another and the next thing I knew I was busy designing and building a complete camp for the kids to attend that had everything from the obstacle course to a rifle range (cork gun rifles that is). There were 7 different activities and the entire camp was called Camp Salvation. Most of the activities had God designed into them somehow. We ever used the Fully Rely on God frog as our mascot. The Bait, The Tools, The Anointing

Here’s an idea from Billy Burns to store away for next year’s Easter!!!

What a weekend. In our three weekend services, we had hundreds of boys and girls who were given the opportunity of a lifetime … the privilege to have Jesus become the Lord of their lives. We had all of the ingredients ready for the weekend, the bait, the tools, and the anointing.

Super Sunday Night

Super Sunday night is a once a month evening event. This event is theme based and allows all the children get involved. This month the theme is “Stars”. We will have service outside under the stars as we play “Gamma Games” and eat star shapes cookie. We will have a “SUPER STAR PANEL” which will include a Sport Star(Dunk Master J), a Rock Star(Oshgosh Josh), a Movie Star(Joe cool) and a Wanna be Star(our resident clown, Bubbles). On the order of the old show “WHATS MY LINE”, the children question all the panelist. Our talk show Interviewer, end the questioning with the famous line “WILL THE REAL SUPER STAR PLEASE STAND UP”. Our new convert Bubbles stands, the real super star now lives in her. We end the evening with a Celestial Fashion Fling. An award goes to the most outrageous Star Fashion. Everyone receives a little star keychain as a memento of the evening. Super Sunday Night’s can be a real BLAST !!

Planning Your Own Kid’s Crusade

You’re planning on doing something new and different this year. You want to put together your own kids’ crusade instead of running a VBS. Now your mind is filled with questions. Where do I start? What should I teach? When should I run it?

In most cases, the differences between a VBS and a Kids’ Crusade are much like the differences between Sunday School and Children’s Church. Connecting Generations

I am the preschool director of a medium sized church in NC. We have a large group of children (ages birth-teens) attending. Each age group is active among themselves, but they hardly ever do things together. For our children’s Easter party this year, we are hosting the whole group, but in differing capacities. I have asked that the youth monitor and participate in the games with the younger children, I have also put them in charge of the hiding and hunting of eggs. » I want to read more! »
