Super Sunday Night

Super Sunday Night

Super Sunday night is a once a month evening event. This event is theme based and allows all the children get involved. This month the theme is “Stars”. We will have service outside under the stars as we play “Gamma Games” and eat star shapes cookie. We will have a “SUPER STAR PANEL” which will include a Sport Star(Dunk Master J), a Rock Star(Oshgosh Josh), a Movie Star(Joe cool) and a Wanna be Star(our resident clown, Bubbles). On the order of the old show “WHATS MY LINE”, the children question all the panelist. Our talk show Interviewer, end the questioning with the famous line “WILL THE REAL SUPER STAR PLEASE STAND UP”. Our new convert Bubbles stands, the real super star now lives in her. We end the evening with a Celestial Fashion Fling. An award goes to the most outrageous Star Fashion. Everyone receives a little star keychain as a memento of the evening. Super Sunday Night’s can be a real BLAST !!

Bible Memorization Olympics. Challenge the boys and girls to learn Bible verses. As they do so, they can earn bronze, silver, and gold medals. Select a list of appropriate verses for each age group. The children do not race with other boys and girls to learn verses fast, but work at their own speed. Schedule times for the verses to be recited. Set a date for an award ceremony. Be sure all who have participated in the Olympics receive a bronze medal. Those who complete certain assignments can be awarded silver and gold medals.

Kids Night Out

Kids Night Out

Here’s an extra curricular idea for you that doesn’t take a great deal of planning or preparation. Plan a "Kids Night Out" for your elementary aged kids. If the budget is an issue, you can easily charge $2 – $3 per child to help cover the expenses. An event like this will help develop a bond and deeper relationship between you and the children you are ministering to.  Here’s the over all plan for the evening. » I want to read more! »
