Obedience Vs. Feeling–Abraham & Isaac

Ask the children to pay very close attention to the story. During the story, you will give the “either/or ” choices to continue the story. The children will have to determine which choice is the correct one for the story.

Many times in your lives God will allow you to go through difficult times to prove your love and obedience to Him. That is what happened to Abraham. Abraham had only one son, his name was either Isaac or Jacob. (Have the children choose the correct one.) Abraham had waited one hundred years before he had his son that God had promised to him. SUPPLIES:  index cards, pen 

Prepare ahead of time.  Write each of the following situations on an index card. 

1. Your parent asks you to get some of your money out to go to an amusement park.  2. You are tired and your parent asks you to clean your room.
3. Your teacher tells you that your best friend needs help on a school assignment.
4. You just started a computer game when your parent asks you to go to the store for flour.
