Many of you who have received our email newsletters over the years realize that I am a straightforward “shoot from the hip” kind of guy. I regularly challenge myself to let my ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and my ‘no’ be ‘no.’

Another trait you may have picked up on is my passion for ministry and evangelism. It is my deep conviction that children not only thoroughly enjoy their church experience, but truly encounter and develop a relationship with their Heavenly Father.

This “Personal Word of Challenge” combines these two characteristics. Summertime is almost ready to wind down and the kids will soon be heading back to school. The hustle and bustle of VBS, Kids’ Crusades, Kids’ Camps, and the like will soon be replaced with preparations for fall activities. This is the best time of year for you to take a personal inventory. Let’s examine a couple of areas together.
